MATCHA, KYOTO 02

MATCHA, KYOTO is a ceremonial, BIO-certified matcha from Wazuka in the Uji tea region, Kyoto prefecture. The Okumidori bushes grow at around 300 metres above sea level and are shaded before the May harvest. The tencha is stone-milled in Japan and the tin is filled in Basel.

Okumidori gives a balanced bowl. Soft umami, mild sweetness and only a little bitterness in the finish. It carries as usucha and stays recognisable in a matcha latte.
