MATCHA, KIRISHIMA 05

MATCHA, KIRISHIMA is stone-milled, BIO-certified tencha from Kirishima in the south of Kyushu, Kagoshima prefecture. The Saemidori and Okumidori varietals grow at around 300 metres above sea level at the foot of the volcanic range and are harvested in May.

Saemidori brings sweetness and dense umami, Okumidori adds depth. The bowl is creamy with no sharpness in the finish. Drink this tin straight as usucha rather than diluting it with milk.
